Jeffreys and McKeith

The latest addition to the Kafue National Park this company, started in 2013, epitomizes what traditional Zambian safaris are all about. Phil Jeffery and Tryone McKeith run their operation with obvious passion and a huge amount of bush knowledge and experience. Their camp with 4 simple tents each with bucket showers and flush loos, is set on the East bank of the Kafue River just below Lufupa, so roughly half way between Mukambi in the central area of the Park and the Busanga Plains.

Activities are split between walking, boating and driving and there is a hide on the opposite bank of the river overlooking a flooded dambo area. This camp works very well as a stand-alone option with access by air or by road but I believe it is best used in combination with the Busanga Plains and, for those with more time to spend, the central area of the Park as well.
