Puku Ridge Camp

Part of the Sanctuary stable of camps this was originally built to compliment Chichele Lodge although it is only a few hundred metres from the main lodge so I would never recommend combining the two camps.

Puku is a beautifully appointed camp with 7 very large tents, it is on a rocky hill-side overlooking an extensive plain that always has game on it, this gives it an elevated perspective that is rare among Luangwa camps. The central area is stylishly furnished with a rambling deck in front. Although there used to be a pool that has been removed leaving a water feature which does help to reduce the ambient temperature somewhat in the warmer months.

Guests can choose between driving or walking, the game-viewing is good in this area of the Park and as you head south from this camp there are some beautiful and very seldom used roads.

The road transfer from Mfuwe Airport is about 2 hours but much of it is through the Park so it can take a little longer.
