This lodge is a little larger than most in the area, it has 15 rooms sleeping 30 guests in 8 standard tents, 4 deluxe and 3 Presidential suites. The standard tents are very well appointed, large and spacious with private decks and inside shower-rooms. The 4 deluxe suites are worth the extra cost, they are larger with inside and outside bathrooms as well as copper baths on the deck outside, they have small plunge pools in front as well as a shaded day-bed outside. The Presidential rooms go just that bit further and are 100 sq. metres with private sitting rooms and plunge pools.
The lodge is situated just outside the western boundary of the Lower Zambezi National Park and is relatively well priced for what it offers. Royal airstrip which is the easiest route through which to access the camp is just a few hundred meters behind camp, it is also possible to drive from Lusaka to Chirundu and then boat into camp, this journey would take about 4 – 4.5 hours in total.
There is an excellent spa on site with two air conditioned treatment rooms, an outdoor treatment area, a steam room and a Jacuzzi.
The usual variety of activities that one would expect in the Lower Zambezi are all offered.
