Tusk and Mane has two types of fully mobile camps. Whilst both are different in design, they both have a well stocked bar and seating area under canvas as well as ensuite bathrooms. The tents are very simple and light weight - a nice example of how light luxury in the wilderness can be.
These tents have been designed to make the most of the Lower Zambezi environment. They are full mobile with canvas drop down sides. With the new designs there are now ensuite bathrooms which prevent you from walking far to use the toilet, with a bucket shower, flushing toilets and washbasin with a mirror.
There are 4 Tents – 3 meters x 3 meters and 2 meters high. These are a similar design to the base camp but smaller and portable. The tents are made from course netting which is insect proof when zipped closed, each accommodates two lightweight camp beds made up with crisp linen, blankets and down pillows. Each fly tent has a table a solar torch, water jug and mosquito repellent. There are 2 Bathroom facilities; only 2 tents will have to share a bathroom and they contain a toilet, a safari-style bucket shower and a washbasin with a mirror. Canvas walls screen the bathroom and it is well lit at night. They are a short distance away from the sleeping tents.
