10 Nights Luangwa, Lower Zambezi & Livingstone – Middle Budget B

Day 1

Upon arrival at Lusaka International Airport you will be met by our representative and assisted with immigration and customs procedures. You will then be directed to the domestic check-in counters for your flight to Mfuwe in the South Luangwa, this flight will take just over an hour.

Day 1 – 5       

Chichele Lodge is set on a hill inside the National Park with wonderful panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, the Luangwa River and the Chindeni Hills in the background.
Whilst here, you will venture out on morning and night drives, the game-viewing in this area of the South Luangwa National Park is hard to beat anywhere in Africa, the river and its associated lagoons are teaming with hippo and croc, the large variety of prey species give rise to large numbers of predators, there are plenty of lion and hyena, wild dog are commonly seen and you have an excellent chance of seeing leopards both in the daytime and from the vehicle after dark.

Day 5 – 9       
Chongwe River Camp

Your flight into the Lower Zambezi takes you into Royal Airstrip. Chongwe River Lodge is very close by, the road transfer to camp takes about 15 minutes

Set on the western bank of the Chongwe River, which acts as the boundary to the National Park, this is a wonderful camp with each of its 8 standard tents spread along the bank.

Day 9 - 11      
Waterberry Lodge

Your flight from Lower Zambezi through Lusaka to Livingstone will bring you to your final destination on this safari. On arrival in Livingstone you will be driven 45 minutes to Waterberry Lodge set on a bank overlooking the Zambezi River some 25 kilometres up-stream from the Falls themselves. The camp has a very homely feel and in-house activities are offered ranging from a trip to visit the Falls to birding walks, river trips, fishing, island picnics and the like. There are numerous additional activities to enjoy in the area around the falls but spending some time just lounging around the camp is also a good option.

Day 11

A 45 minute road transfer will see you arrive at the Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport where you will connect on your onward flight back home.
